17 Nov Airo AV Announces: Bus transportation cancelled for St. Mary’s, Livingston Pub
School officials have temporarily cancelled bus transportation in Livingston after being informed of a positive COVID-19 case, school officials said.
The cancellation impacts all Livingston public schools as well as St. Mary’s Catholic School in Livingston, and extends through at least Friday.
School will continue as usual.
“Late this afternoon, we were informed of a COVID positive case which has significantly affected our Transportation Department,” a Monday evening email from Livingston Public Schools said.
Park High School Co-Principal Lynne Scalia said bus drivers are in quarantine.
Due to contact tracing and limited personnel, the email said bus services will not be available beginning Tuesday morning and continuing to at least Friday.
“We apologize for the disruption this may cause for our families,” the email said. “School tomorrow will continue in the schedule in which it has been operating (e.g. Washington and Winans 4-day onsite week; ES, SGMS, PHS on an AB or modified AB schedule).”
School officials asked that, where possible, parents and guardians assist in letting others know about the bus cancellation.
“If you were scheduled to, but are unable to attend onsite school, or if you have any questions, please contact your school to let them know,” the email said. “Please stay tuned for further information as to when we will be able to resume bus service.”
