The Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission is accepting public input through Sept. 4 on draft changes to the 2020-2024 Transportation Improvement Program.

NIRPC’s TIP is a short-range financial and spending plan for the use of federal transportation funding. These funds can be used for highway, transit, and non-motorized transportation projects.

NIRPC’s TIP is periodically updated and includes projects undertaken by municipalities, counties, transit operators, and the state.

Comments may be submitted by email to [email protected] or by mail to NIRPC, 6100 Southport Road, Portage, IN 46368 or by calling (219) 763-6060

NIRPC said all comments received will be compiled into a report and responded to and later made available to the public.

Documents and information will be available for review at NIRPC’s website or by mail or by calling the organization.
