Travellers on the Wairarapa line should “anticipate significant delays” after a freight service was disabled south of Carterton.
Those travelling into Wellington on the Wairarapa line Monday morning, will likely face “significant delays” after a freight train got stuck south of Carterton.
Metlink said in its website it was in the process of moving the disabled freight service.
It has told travellers to “anticipate significant delays”.
The 6.20am and 6.47am trains departed over an hour later than scheduled.
The company is currently trying to source bus replacement services to run from Featherston to Wellington.
